We took a much needed break from the bus and met
Gary's parents near Flagstaff. We went on some hikes and
looked at old ruins. The girls really enjoyed hiking
around and spending time with their grandparents. |

One of our stops along the way was Wukoki
Pueblo. A Hopi word for "big house" supposedly
home to several families in it's own
time. |

It was very interesting to imagine what lives may
have played out in these old structures. |

We caravanned with Gary's parents and stopped at
scenic points along the way to snap off picturesque
pictures. |

We also saw some amazing rock
formations. |

Wupatki. An old village. We took the
hiking self-guided tour, and got pretty winded carrying the kids
back up the hill. |
