I'm trying my best to get the majority of the grunt work out of the way for
this year's haunt. The wall panels and graveyard fence have high priority
since they are some of the most time consuming parts of the haunt and the
weather will be getting colder and wetter over the next 2-3 weeks. I have
seven 8 foot fence sections and four 4 foot fence sections put together and
painted now. I have one remaining 8 foot fence section to go and I should
have enough fence to make a decent sized graveyard in the front yard. As
soon as I have the last fence section finished, I'll put the fence together and
see how it looks and if I need to expand it further. I have many projects
still in my head that need to be finished in time for Halloween. This
year's theme is going to be an old style mortuary/chapel with a convenient
graveyard close by. I figure that the mortuary theme gives me the most
flexibility in terms of a plotline and will give the guests that come to the
Halloween party a variety of fun roles to play if they want to participate in
scaring the older kids. |
